The first thing I want to start with is your twitter page in itself... The most common thing people do wrong that turn off potential followers/leads is they don't customize and personalize their twitter page. I can't stress enough how important it is to build trust with your readers and your page looking like everyone else's simply says scam or you just blend in with everyone else. When really what you want to do is STICK OUT! So people will find you interesting.
The next point is the value of the content you post through twitter. I know that its hard to continuely think of things to post so what you need to do is think of one think that you want to focus on for the day on your "tweets". Then break it down to approximatly 6 (+) Tweets and make sure that each tweet is personable. For instance, "Good morning everyone! Hope you had a good night. Tip of the day at (website) "
Of course, the more tweets you put out through the day the better off you are! Tweeting this often can be very difficult and time consuming so I want to let you in on a little helpful tool that allows you to set up tweets and select the time you want them to post! This makes it a lot easier now you can pre-tweet :) the night before and set all of them up to post at the times you would like!

Which brings me to the next point! The time you tweet is VERY IMPORTANT! You dont want to tweet if no one is online reading the tweets right? Right :) Wouldn't it be perfect to know when the most popular time is to tweet when the most people are online? Well, I have posted a list of all the times and how many people are online on twitter on my site! But due to the fact of how long it is i did not post it here. So please be sure to check that out!
Followers are very important on Twitter, the more followers you have the more people thats hearing your messages that you are posting everyday at the popular times shown above :)
