To post an advertisement in the services section on Craigslist, you need to create a free Craigslist account. After doing so, you will be able to proceed. You will be asked to provide specific information on your location, create a headline, and write more detailed information in the body of your advertisement. What information should you include here?

As for your headline, it needs to be short because you are limited on space, but you want to be as detailed as possible. Good examples include "Professional Interior and Exterior Painting by -- " or "Professional Web Design at an Affordable Price."

As for the body of your Craigslist ad, which is the most important part, you want to be detailed. However, your information must be easy to read. This means no long sentences or huge paragraphs. Since you are advertising your business, talk about that business. Whether you sell products or services, describe them. If you have a showroom open in your home, list the hours or a phone number to schedule appointments. If you have a website that provides more detailed information, post a link to that website. Also, be sure to post a phone number or email address for contact.
