Make Money Online

I had a problem. It was a big one - I wanted to make money online but I never did anything about it. I call this procrastination, but you can really call it anything you want. The results are the same - there are no results.

The sad thing about this procrastination is that it was hard for me to identify that I was actually doing it. Excuses and rationalizations would always pop up. I had a fantasy in my head that I was going to start my own online business, even though it was clear that I wasn't taking enough action.

Eventually I couldn't hide from the truth anymore, and I accepted the fact that I wasn't doing enough. Reading instructional books was helpful, but it wasn't enough - I had to start following through.

Here are the things that helped me:
  1. Hold yourself accountable. This is important, it means you can't just sit back and do nothing, you have to call yourself out and say 'I'm not doing enough'. One tip to do holding yourself accountable is getting a partner. With a partner, you both have to take action, and you both are accountable to each other. This will help keep you focused.
  2. Make smaller goals. Goals are great, we need them to take action. But sometimes we make our goals so big that we are intimidated by them. With making money online, small goals is the key. For example, a goal like 'I will purchase my first domain name this week' is often more powerful than 'I will make $10, 000 per month online'. Your goals will grow as you progress.
  3. Do something small each day. Whether it is reading a chapter in a 'how to' book, buying a domain name, or doing a blog post, you should try to do something each day. This is action. These small actions will bring big results overtime.
So, these are some things you can incorporate into your life right now to ensure that you are making progress. Procrastination is a deadly problem, and you should not underestimate its power. I've been there myself, and I want to make sure that you don't ignore it.

Be truthful with yourself and make sure you are taking action. Success online doesn't happen over night, it starts with consistent action - the sooner you start, the quicker it will come.
